++I disagree. I think that the cooling system is very good. Problems
arise with old cars when components go bad. I replaced the radiator,
water pump, hoses and thermostat on Kristen's 1978 Scirocco. It runs
very cool. 

Basically, if all your components are good, the car will run nice and
cool. You can further manipulate this with cooler thermostats and/or
larger radiators (in some cases).

try Virtual World or Adirondack -they got 'em.

==you have a stock 16V, get a direct replacement from the places
mentioned above. You don't need a better radiator.
