RE: MK2 8v weight

Sorry late response big time-zone difference,i was in bed when ur mail
came through
My baby is a 1986 Gt
It got a new engine in '95 , i bought the car after the change and the
reciept makes no mention of what engine i have
all i know is that it is registered as a 1.8 litre and it's a carb job
and it flies except for the clutch slipping everywhere except first gear
and under 2500 RPM

Can anyone help me find the engine number so i can figure out exactly
what 1800 is in my car?
