Re: Running rough

Jeremy,

It could honestly be a bunch of things, but a similar thing happened to my '86 16v, which turned out to be a catalyst that was getting clogged.  Apart from that, you should check your plugs, distributor, timing ,air-filter, injectors etc.

Subject: Running rough

Anyone have any ideas about this:  Last night I started the car and it idled rough.  I let it run a minute to see if it would clear up.  Didn't happen but it does idle at the normal speed (900-1000) and it slightly hesitates when throttle is first applied but seems to clear up after 3k rpm.  Exhaust sounds absolutely horrible.  Just thought I'd let the great minds of the list chew on this one.  TIA
