Brake-bleeding

I am going to be painting my calipers this weekend so obviously I might
as well replace all of my fluid ...anyway I have never ever done this
and I have a guy to help me but he said something about there being a
pattern to bleeding the brakes.....help!!!! it will make the process
move much quicker if I have an idea what is going on before we
start....and what about brake fluid....sugestions?
