My ride's a stinkin

The exhaust on my car smells really bad.  It smells like a lawnmower.  The 
smell is so strong that my GF can smell it on my clothes when I walk in.  So 
what is the deal, is my mixture setting off or something? Maybe my O2 sensor 
is going bad? I dunno. The car seems to be running perfect except for a 
slight miss at idle occasionally. The cat is hallowed could that be it?
