WTF - Tach needle isn't moving

This is mainly to Brett, but I lost his addy, and
anyone who knows WTF I did wrong is MORE than welcome
to respond...

anyways, I put on the colored gauge faces, put
everything back together, hooked the gauge panel up...

no tach.

Everything else is working (fuel, temp, all the
lights)

I am not sure of the speedometer, because I am waiting
on a part to put the shifter back together - the bitch
ain't moving....

Anyways - HELP - they look cool, but they'd look
cooler if the needles moved....

Oh, and in other news in case anyone cares, a Vanagon
oil filter will fit on a scirocco - happy day for me,
I ordered 4 shocks & 4 oil filters for my van, and got
2 shocks & 6 oil filters... they gave me the extra
filters free since they screwed up my order twice...
which is good since I've only put 6K on my van in the
1&1/2 years I've owned it... Talk about a lifetime
supply :)  Now I just gotta figure out what happened
to the old oil filter to crush it.
