Should have asked a week ago, dude! :) But seriously, the auto parts store
I work for has VW parts from various sources. The clutch cable I put in had
a VW part number, made in Germany, I think. (sorry I can't recall. too many
beers have passed since then.) If my warehouse doesn't have it, we get the
stuff from a place in California. That's where I got my Bentley manual. :)
