If I'm not mistaken the '86 8V still had the single downpipe exhaust. If so the
cam will make no difference until you replace the manifold and downpipe. Any
early dual downpipe manifold will fix this. Of course, a techtonics dual
downpipe will make it even better or perhaps a header. I may be wrong. The
canadian cars may never have had this piece-o-shit exhaust. Check just to be
sure.
