transfer pump availability?

i have been having bad hesitation problems with my 87 16v.....i have begun
to suspect the transfer pump and was curious what other vw models used the
same pump.....did the golfs or A2 jettas use the same pump?.....or how
about later model mk 2 sciroccos?.....
