Re: 16V Transmission and "to Quaife or not to Quaife"



GEX went through the list's scrutiny just a little while back. To sum it up:
Their engines are unreliable, sometimes built incorrectly, basically, stay away
from them. Everybody that *I* heard say anything about them said something bad.
Nobody said anything about their transmissions, however. I should think you
should be able to get a transmission for a good deal less than that. Want me to
look around for ya? This is a 16v Scirocco, right?
