I believe the 82 turbo Z weighs 2800lbs. Hp to weight ratio favors the Z
car. I know when I drove an 83 Turbo Z (same car) before I picked up my
300ZX TT car. I smoked alot of people with its plain jane stock looks and
I found it to be a fun car to drive. (Not as fun as my roc, but fun is
fun.) I even smoked a built Datsun 510 drag car with it. Getting off the
line was average but once the turbo spools up to its 7lbs of boost,
buh-bye! I never got to play with changing the boost levels to see how
much more power it could produce but with a lowly 7lbs. Lots of
potential.
The V6 was hard to work on. No access, but the 82's straight 6 is right
there. Kinda tight on a few things but so is the Roc fore the matter.
There must of been something wrong with your friends Z car for you Roc to
give it fits.
