Re: Buying a Scirocco... (Fake GTX)?

Hello,
just my 0,02DM on this topic:

Doug's listing below is correct for the newer GTX-series (1984-)
The first years GTX-models (1983-84) were different :
no red lines in the grille, big lights,
Kamei X1-bodykit (wedge-shaped) colored like the car,
horizontally divided rear-wing (Zender),
no badges on the glove-box,
no badges on the B-pillar
no badges on the hatch but stickers, so there must be
no holes in it. No textile on the inner doors.
VW "Avus" light alloy rims 6J14 with 185/60 tires.
available with 90HP (carburator) or 112HP (injection)
no 16V, no fuba.

Dirk
'83 53b GTX
got rid off 90% of that GTX-stuff :)
