13s . . . even 12s have been done with normally aspirated 8Vs.

Mostly dedicated race cars though . . .

Low 13's? Sheesh! I suppose if you dropped in a small-block Chevy...

In all seriousness, I didn't think that these little 4-bangers could do
something like that. Low 13's is a long way from a stock 16.9. Then
again,
I'll be the first to admit that haven't spent any time on a drag strip
myself. Is this really realistic to do without a forced-injection system
of
some sort? How much horsepower can you squeeze out of a
normally-aspirated
16v, even if it is a 2.1? I've heard about the
turbo-nitro-spinach-powered
Rabbits that can do some amazing things (some guy was telling me about
one
that could do 11's), but they've all gone beyond the realm of
"realistically
streetable."
