If you ever get the courage to come over again, I can look at it for you
and tell you what the problem is for you.

Changing the bearings:
Not too hard, just be sure you have adequate jack stands. Stacking
plywood just doesn't seem to cut it. (Right Eric? DOH!!) 

You will need the special tool, although you could just take the whole
thing to a machine shop and have them press out the old, and press in the
new bearings. ($$) 

You should replace both bearings if you can.
