Speaking of sightings, check out the movie "Dawn of The Living Dead", 
the one where those SWAT type guys are holed up in a shopping mall and 
besieged by the living dead. There is a scirocco in the mall, from one 
of those contests where you sign up to win a car. It has been a long 
time, but I believe it was a '77 Wolfsburg Scirocco, because it looked 
just like the one I had. Maybe somebody can confirm this sighting for 
me?
