There are two different types of 4x6, with different mounting holes. One
seems to work for most American cars, and the other seems to be for most
european cars. The one for VWs is often called "euro" or "metric". The 4x6
metrics will drop right into our car, at least the ones I have(Boston
Acoustics CX7e) did.
The ones with the different mounting holes are a big PITA to get fitted.
