Now _that_ would be funny. How many of us have hurried through something
hoping to get the job done before the significant other found out what we
were up to?

I've got one:

When I bought my euro bumpers, I didn't have the money, but the deal was right
so I went for it. I didn't want any 'embarrassing' questions asked by my
wife while I was changing the bumpers, oh like: "What the hell are those?!"

So I used the UPS web page to watch the shipment until they said it was
delivered and waiting on my doorstep. I left work early, ran home, and
did a very fast switch, hiding the US bumpers in the basement. She never
noticed _exactly_ what was different about the car, but she knew it was
something. She knew that I'd blown a lot of money on something, but she
didn't know what it was. She found out eventually by reading my car stat
sheet which I made for when I take the car to shows (after I had them all paid
off). At least it was funny by then, ya know.

She's usually very obvservant about these sort of things, when we were in
college together she noticed when I added more memory to my computer
(again something I didn't really have the money for). It was an Amiga and
the free memory was always displayed on the main desktop screen, that's how
she noticed.
</ramble>
