16v antenna

while doing stereo work on my car this past week I inadvertanly broke off
the antenna plug that goes to my stereo. I have some questions. 

1st) their is a resistor in the antenna plug housing. what resistance is
it and with what tolerance. 

2nd) is it possible to just get a replacement cable and run it to the
stereo or would it be better to try and repair the cable.

3rd) the power cable for the antenna, does it run to positive or negative.
(it was off when i bought the car.)
