One more arguments for getting the Velocity diff kit!

Background:
Julie decided she wants to see the "worlds largest sand castle" they're
building on Fiesta Island here in San Diego. So we take the GLi.

The scenario:
While leaving, Julie sees a jet ski with the operator laying on the hood
and wants me to pull over to watch him do his amazing tricks.

My delima:
While im pulling over, Julie says, (Nagging tone) Don't get stuck in the
sand. (Why I aughta...)

My problem:
Just as im making my turn in the soft, damp sand, I feel the whole car
bog down and the front end sinks into the sand. I tried to keep the
momentum going so we Don't sink in too deep and get stuck, but it was too
late, the car stopped on its own and after I spouted my rage about how
she jinxed me, I think back on the days of driving a 4X4 and remembering
how to get out of the sand. Being the awesome driver (cough-choke!) that
I am, I got us out of the sand.

Heres the deal:
IF I had the 80% diff kit (Stage 2), or the 40% diff kit (Stage 1) I
would have had both wheels churning and burning instead of just the one
wheel. (Driver side.) I had to work my ass off to get out of the sand,
thank GOD for power steering! (Thanks god..) So, when I go to replace
them tranny drive flange seals, guess what's going the GLi? That's right,
I Don't want to go through that mess again!

P.S. Yes, Julie is STILL mad at me. OH WELL, looks like i will be in
this room for a while tonight. :)
Im done yakking.
