Re: Six Speed stuff??
Okay Okay, (geez you guys need to relax more) I asked about a six speed,
not a 5th conversion. The Scirocco already is on my list for a new 5th.
MAYBE a sixth if I get the engine re-worked. But with as many trannies as
this auto-xer has killed so far... sigh...
However I did ask about a six, or a sixth kit (heard of a few) as that
is what I wanted to know about... I have an 89 Gli Wolfs. with a 2Y
which means I have a .91 5th, ok? You ever dropped a 1.13 to a .71 in
a 1.8L beat to crap-engined 16v Jetta? You thought the 16v scirocco was
bad??? holy moly... talk about dead in the water too damn fast...
Anyway thanks for all the discussion. Now back to 6th gear kits/trannies.
I know I can get several used 6 speed sequentials no prob. with quaiffe, etc.
Just that I only paid 1500$us for the scirocco and a seq. runs at LEAST
$5K us used! (about $22K for the top of the line new)
About this "Vince Locicero " (vl ent) I assume this is some kind of kit.
I USED to know of a kit you could get from a D&W catalog from Austria
like this. I was about $300?us shipped. But I can't seem to find it
anymore. I assume this is either a kit, or manufacturered for him/someone?
Any ideas?
