        He was probably talking about the anti-rattle clips.  These clips
fit on the same area as where the brake pads silde onto.  If they are not
there sometimes everytime you hit the breaks there is this clunking noise.
Or as you are riding alot the brake pads rattle around and make somewhat of
a clinking noise as you describe.  No big deal though.
