Ok,

The aol4free "virus" is a hoax.

It is completely impossible for a virus to affect your computer as a result
of simply opening an email message. Viruses are programs, like any other,
and require someone to actually run the specific program that the virus
uses as a transport. So unless you downloaded an infected file attachment
from your email, or from an ftp/web site, and then run said program, you
don't have to worry about it.
