It's like someone's got a contract out on scirocco's!!!!!

What's up with that?!?!

Some bitch ran a stop sign yesterday and was turning RIGHT TOWARD ME.  I
panicked and FLOORED it.  Because I did that, I got out of what would've
been a HUGE accident.  I thought I totally cleared her, but she JUST barely
nipped my bumper and took the paint off.

I am INCREDIBLY sick of repainting those bumpers.  When the previous owner
of the car the entire car repainted-- beautiful job!  Like a mirror!  $2k +
job!  But the repainters evidently had never repainted vw bumpers before,
and didn't put a primer/adhesive promoter on.  So when I bought the car, the
paint was crackling and peeling all off the bumper.  I finally repainted
them for waterfest (july 96).  Then, 3 weeks later, someone's car rubbed the
entire front bumper and took most of the paint off.  I was steamed.  I
re-repainted my front bumper.  I used the same potent chem. stripper for
rubber bumpers.  It says don't leave on for more than 26min.  I got
side-tracked.  35 minutes later, I'm using an ice scraper to take the melted
paint off, instead of hosing it off.  It turned out okay, though, but now i
get to re-repaint my rear, thanks to some dumb b*tch.

Ahhhh....FULLY VENTED.
