As a rule, I only run Super in my car (91 in Colameorado), but I had to put
a few gallons of 85 in it somewhere in Utah's wasteland - gas stations are
pretty far apart there, 10 gallon tanks don't help:). It ran like crap. I
do advance my timing a bit, however, I am sure that had something to do
with it. I don't buy the idea of "All gasolines are the same, 'Super'
fuels are simply expensive marketing scams." It makes a difference in my
car. If octane did not matter, why do race fuels exist? Why does my car
detonate on 85? Just curious:). I don't think it is your imagination!
