It's an '87 16V. I bought it for only $400 in Cincinnati. I live here in Indianapolis. It was a little dirty from sitting for awhile without being driven, but except for washing and waxing and the numbers and decals, I did absolutely nothing to it before going racing. I never even changed the oil before giving it it's first run. Pretty much as you see it is how I bought it. I got the car midway through the racing season and didn't have a lot to spend, but the car was very fast from day one. I only raced in SCCA autocross events with this car last season because it was so late in the season. Took 4th place in the first event and 2nd place in the rest of the events. Eventually all I added was front and rear upper stressbars and removed the interior except for the two front seats (per rules). I actually beat some pretty stiff competition all season and ended up finishing only one point out of 2nd place on the season. All this on the worn out and dry-rotted Pirelli street tires that came on the car. I have a new set of Hoosier Racing Radials coming for this season. I had planned to completely gut the car and make it an IT club racer, but it seems very much at home on the autocross course, so we'll get it properly outfitted and see how it does with a full season. -Sean Harshey
